The staff is friendly and ready to help you when needed. Please note, depending on the site you use for the reservation, the cleaning fees may not be included and this is not indicated at the time of booking (Expedia for example). However, trash will be collected daily, so not having housekeeping clean the room every day might not be a problem depending on the length of your stay. A family member had breakfast at the hotel and was very pleased with the completeness of the buffet.

Forces you to pay in USD when using a credit card and not in pessos using the official rate. This is obviously a lot less interesting for foreigners as you don't get the MEP rate. If you pay in cash you have to pay the IVA. Had to fight with the receptionist for 30 min and call Booking threatening to cancel to get them to finally accept it ... Not honest, in 3 weeks in Argentina, it's the only hotel that had this policy.

We stayed at HTL Urbano Buenos Aires for two days and we enjoyed the Argentinian hospitality, the nice room and the good food, good prices at the buffet for breakfast. The hotel is situated downtown and we were able to stroll on the old narrow cobble stone streets and be home in no time at night. The bus station was right in front of the hotel. What impressed us most was the staff’s readiness to help and meet our needs. They came to check on us the next moment we called the desk, looked after our luggage after we checked out and helped us get to the airport for our flight to Rome. The last one was a big one, as the Argentinian soccer team were celebrating the winning of the World Cup and on the day of our flight, 21 December, all the streets and the highway to the airport were blocked by the celebrating mobs. Mr. Franco found a taxi for us, helped us carry the luggage to the main road and bent over backwards to make sure we got in time to the airport, thus saving our trip back home. We are thankful for all their assistance and we warmly recommend the Urbano Hotel.
